Men's Basketball Outlasted By Penn St.-Harrisburg

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's basketball team fell to non-conference opponent Penn St.-Harrisburg 84-64 in Nininger Hall on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The teams came out in a back-and-forth fashion to start the contest with the score staying 9-7 in favor of the Eagles for a four minute stretch early in the first
  • Penn St.-Harrisburg gained momentum and took a 30-19 lead before a Liam Caswell jumper and Andy Pack three brought the Eagles within six
  • Caswell scored all 11 his points in the first half as the Eagles entered the locker room down 36-28
  • The Eagles shot 39.4% from the field in the second half compared to the Nittany Lions 61.3%. The vistors also won the rebounding battle in the second frame, 22-10, to leave Nininger Hall with the win

  • Pack paced the Eagle with 16 points to go with a pair of boards
  • Caswell's 11 points is a season-high for the junior. He also grabbed five rebounds
  • Rookie Rashod Smith had a game-high six assists 
  • Alec Topper went 4-6 from the field while adding three rebounds and two assists
