Track and Field Athletes Compete at Dr. Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE, ILL. - The Bridgewater College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had a handful of athletes travel to Naperville, Ill., for the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Thursday and Friday.

Jamie Hiegel represented the men's squad in the two-day event, competing in the 10,000 meter run on Thursday. Hiegel finished 10th in the run with a time of  31:24.82, a personal record for Hiegel and also second on Bridgewater's all-time list.

On the women's side, Emily Valle earned a top-ten finish in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.38 for seventh in the event.

Emily Young competed in the 800 meter run and finished with a time of 2:21.26 for 35th overall.

The two teams will travel to Greensboro, N.C. on Sunday, May 13, for the Aggie Last Chance Meet, with events beginning at 9:00 a.m.
