WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah locked up a home playoff game in a matchup we may see again next week, beating the Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team 18-12 on Tuesday evening.

Kristen Stark scored four times for the Eagles, with Anna O'Hara adding a hat trick.

Sarah Yashinskie scored three goals and also totaled four ground balls and six draw controls. Grace Stang led the defense in caused turnovers for a second straight game, recording three.

Bridgewater led 2-1 after early goals from Stark and O'Hara before Shenandoah answered with a 5-0 run.

Stark, Abby Houtz and O'Hara scored consecutively to cut the hosts' lead to 6-5. The Hornets closed the half strong however to take an 11-6 lead at the break.

Shannon Rogers opened the second half scoring exactly 60 seconds into the period, but the Eagles couldn't keep the momentum going as SU scored six of the next eight to pull away.

The Hornets got nine points on seven goals and two assists from Cassie Arndt. Jen Northam caused a game-high four turnovers.

Shenandoah (11-5, 5-2 ODAC) will play at Lynchburg on Saturday for third place in the conference standings. The loser will likely host Bridgewater (10-5, 3-4) in the first round of the playoffs, as the Eagles look to set to finish in fifth place for a second straight year.

BC will wrap up the regular season on Sunday against Randolph, and will celebrate Senior Day for Erica Blubaugh and Kayla O'Sullivan.
