SPARKS, Md. - The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team is nationally-ranked for the first time in the modern era, earning the #19 spot in this week's Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine poll.

The Eagles are 5-0 after an 18-9 win vs. Marymount on Saturday. Bridgewater has also beaten Christopher Newport on the road in overtime, and posted consecutive shutouts against Salem and Muskingum.

Junior Kristen Stark leads the ODAC in assists (16) and points (30), while classmate Anna O'Hara leads in goals (22). O'Hara and Dwyer Neal are tied for third in the league in scoring (24 points).

Freshman goalie Mikaela Brooks leads the ODAC in both GAA (6.95) and victories (five), and helped backstop the team to a shutout streak of over 160 minutes early in the year.

Bridgewater is the ODAC's lone undefeated team and the conference's only ranked team in the US Lacrosse Magazine poll. Washington & Lee (3-4) is in the Also Receiving Votes section.

The Eagles will open ODAC play on Saturday with a tough matchup at Lynchburg, the team that has eliminated them from the past two ODAC playoffs- by a two-goal margin on both occasions.
