Preamble

For more than 100 years, Bridgewater College has been an institution offering a four-year liberal arts program designed to provide students with an understanding and appreciation of the larger world in which they live, to develop competencies which will enable them to be life-long learners, and to deal constructively with the problems of a rapidly changing society.

The Eagle Club will further the College athletic program by: (1) Encouraging support of the administration, faculty, and staff for the total athletic program of the College. (2) Encouraging the student body to participate in athletics by enhancing the College athletic program by helping to provide the finest facilities and equipment possible. (3) Encouraging attendance at all athletic events at the College.

Purpose
The purpose for the Eagle Club is to assist Bridgewater College athletics in its future growth and development as an integral part of the College community, Bridgewater town community, and Harrisonburg community. Specifically, the Club exists to assist with the special needs of the athletic programs of the College.

Goals
(1) Increase the visibility of Bridgewater athletics with alumni and friends by maintaining frequent communications with Club members. (2) Establish formalized fundraising efforts to enhance the quality of the facilites and equipment for the athletic program. (3) Provide opportunities for social interaction among athletic program supporters. (4) Keep the athletic club supporters current on the achievements of teams and individual players in various sports.

Membership Membership shall consist of persons interested in Bridgewater College and its athletic programs and who fulfill the dues requirements for membership established by the Board of the Eagle Club.

Membership Dues
Dues for membership in the Eagle Club will be established on an annual basis. Membership categories will be:

1. Associate Membership 2. Individual Membership 3. Family Membership 4. Faculty/Staff Membership 5. Alumni Membership

Finances
All funds raised for the benefit of the athletic program at Bridgewater College will be placed in a restricted account at the College, and the Eagle Club Board will vote on recommendations for the spending of subject funds.
